With so much to see and in a largely rural area, car-parking can
be something of a problem. The roads are narrow: do not try and park on them.
Country lanes are often barely two-cars wide and often winding, whilst the main
A149 is not much wider and is very busy. Below is a list of Car Parks, and other
places where care may be parked. Designated Car Parks, mainly run by the North
Norfolk District Council tend to attract charges of a leat £1, and that may be
for just the first hour.
Hunstanton There is ample
car-parking close to the sea-front. Just drive keeping an eye open for the
Parking signs. (All parks are from the Green southwards)
Old Hunstanton There are car parks
on the cliff-top between Old Hunstanton and Hunstanton itself
Holme-next-the-Sea You should be
able to park near the caraven park close to the beach
Thornham

coast, turn off the road where it is signed to the Lifeboat Inn and carry on
about 3/4 mile. Where the footpath leads off to the left there is a small area
where you park (Please note that Staithe Lane is flooded at High Water)

provides access to Holkham beach.
